A learning platform is a set of 'interactive online services' that provides teachers, parents and others involved in education with information, tools and resources to support and enhance educational delivery, information-sharing and management.
The term learning platform refers to a range of tools and services often described using terms such as 'educational extranet' or 'virtual learning environment' (VLE).
The way each learning platform works will vary depending upon the needs of the users and is achieved by bringing together a range of features, from different software solutions, available as free-to-use web services. These tools are delivered together through individual or group user environments.
At Palatine all of our staff, parents and pupils (where appropriate), have direct access to our Virtual Learning Environment through their individual log-in details.
